Baker

Good design lies at the heart of fine furniture. For Baker, that means a great collection assembled literally one item at a time. Baker builds furniture from more periods, styles, and international influences than any other maker. Whether a best of kind reproduction or an original from a celebrated designer, each item contributes to a sensibility that is uniquely Baker.

Yet the company also selects each item for its own merit. With careful attention to scale, proportion, and ornamental detail, the line develops a rare sense of appropriateness. The result is furniture thought tempting today and timeless tomorrow.

The Baker Design Legacy displays a complete history of notable design throughout the decades.

Charleston Forge

Every piece of furniture Charleston Forge produces is handcrafted. The company also mentors design students at one of the local colleges.

Jonathan Charles

Begun as a collaboration with Jon Sowter, an English educated furniture craftsman, Jonathan Charles Fine Furniture is now one of the premier designers and manufacturers of classic reproduction and interpretation pieces.

Attention to detail is a hallmark of this beautifully crafted furniture line. Intricate inlay and marquetry, meticulous carving and finishing, and custom designed hardware (produced by their own brass foundry) are all essential to making the finest furniture available today.

Somerset Bay raises the standard in design and construction. Each piece is handcrafted from the finest plantation grown mahogany and premium veneers and trim. Craftsmen use state-of-the-art techniques to produce the timeless soft Somerset Bay patina. Kingsley Bate

Kingsley Bate is America’s leading manufacturer of teak outdoor furniture. British craftsmen of the 18th-century discovered what their Eastern counterparts had known for centuries, that teak has qualities unlike any other wood. Its abilities to withstand the rigors of adverse climate, yet weather attractively, make it the ideal choice for exterior furnishings. Kingsley Bate uses only premium quality teak and precise mortise and tenon joinery in the construction of our furniture. And while Kingsley Bate’s reputation was founded on teak, their furniture designs have expanded to incorporate the finest stainless steel and all-weather wicker as well. This combination of quality material and craftsmanship provides you with exterior furnishings of exceptional style and durability.
